Last minute marketing strategies were discussed for our upcoming "Meet the Coaches" day @ Awakenings Bookstore in Laguna Hills, Sunday September 30, 2000.
There seems to be some interest in having our group of experts work with residents of Drug & Alcohol Rehab centers (More about that as this progresses)
Dr. Donna Kannard, shared her newest project, a children's storybook, with us for feedback. VERY CUTE!!! We all look forward to seeing this project move forward into the publishing world!!!
Anyone interested in marketing themselves to corporations should talk with Dr. Kas Wysokci & Carmen Vazquez & Joan Ramstedt.
We discussed using Dr.Marcia Kamph's office space near OC Airport for a 1/2 day of computer technical help for those of us who are technically challenged. All of your questions & concerns will be addressed in a "user friendly" environment. (How do I get a video or audio on my website, etc.) A weekend date will be decided upon soon for this...as well as the cost..

Here are some comments by someone who attended our meeting for the first time:

"I was just blown away by everyone's level of positive energy, expertise, level of accomplishment and productivity. The room just buzzed with energy and good will. As each woman spoke about herself and past/current experiences and projects I was positively amazed at how much each had accomplished. The accumulated years of wisdom, talent and skills in that room was amazing. Teacher, minister, realtor, doctor, published & best selling authors, entrepreneurs, therapist, astrologer, corporate and life coach, healer(s), artist--the list goes on. Most had several areas of success and expertise.

I noted that as a group they are challenging themselves and seeking to expand their skills, talents and businesses. No resting on any laurels here ! Each person opened a door for me with insights into their personal projects and passions. There were also many connection points of interest for me in issues I"m passionate about (education/women's issues/finance & business management) . I found that their creative spirits lit up my own creativity and I left brimming with ideas. The holistic, healing and esoteric inspiration guiding them and their work was palpable. There are lots of discussion & women's groups, but I think that this spirit/health/creativity centered group is unique in Orange County I feel blessed to have stumbled across it--but as they say--when the student is ready.... .

A final thought on teaching/students-- Kathy commented to me that it was a room full of "wise" women. I couldn't agree more! There use to be a place in society for the Wise Woman or Elder... Well, give that a thought--all that knowledge, experience, pain, hard work, love and growth has brought us to this point in our lives.
